A Bounder roof looks like it has room for a lot of solar. Nobody, Fleetwood included, publishes how much. Here’s the path we’d follow on our own coach.
Get the manual from Fleetwood
Fleetwood publishes owner’s manuals in its owner’s manual library. Our manuals hub links that library for Bounder, Discovery, Southwind, Flair, Pace Arrow, Frontier, Jamboree, and Tioga.
One PDF was checked by hand during the rebuild: the 2019 Bounder Class A gas manual (part L90-0300-68), on Fleetwood’s own server. We don’t guess PDF links for other years, so pick yours in Fleetwood’s library.
What the manual says, and what it doesn’t
The house electrical chapter covers shore power, the generator, the converter, and two battery banks (chassis and house). It warns that the coach electronics are voltage sensitive and that modifications can void the warranty.
It does not list a solar-ready wattage for the roof, so we don’t either.
The upgrade path
- Find your year and model, then download the manual from Fleetwood.
- Measure the roof and note every vent, air conditioner, and antenna.
- Run the solar planner with those measurements and your real loads.
- Check the converter’s charging profile before you add lithium.
The planner’s parts list only links products that were already on the Megawatt calculators. The gear kits pair a 400-watt pack with a 12-volt 300Ah battery as a starter bundle, labeled as planning parts rather than a Fleetwood factory option.

Who can install it
CCRV (Cross Country RV Solar) is the installer named on the old partners page, at 989-464-3314. The email subject line published there was “Megawatt 10% Off Labor”, so confirm the offer when you call.
There’s no star rating here because nobody published one.
Component manuals stay with the companies that make the components. Dometic, Norcold, Lippert, Suburban, and Cummins (Onan) are all linked from the manuals hub.
